FAQ's
- How do I send my ashes to you?
As soon as an order is placed we send a collection kit out to you 1st class. The kit contains a small container for your ashes, a postage paid envelope to return the ashes and a personalisation form for you to complete.
- How much of the ashes do you need to make the jewellery?
We only need a small amount (roughly half a teaspoonful) and any ashes not used in your jewellery will be safely returned to you with your finished piece.
- How long does the process take?
To allow time for postage and the ordering of any stock required to make your piece we allow 5 - 7 days from when we receive your ashes. To save on time you can opt to send your ashes directly to us to save waiting on a kit to arrive. Just ensure that your ashes are sealed securely (a small zip lock/ self seal bag is ideal for this) with your name, address & contact number included in the envelope.
- What if I don't know my ring size?
Don't worry! There is an option when purchasing your ring for a ring sizer to be included in the kit that gets sent out to you and you can include your size on the personalisation form that you send back with your ashes.
- Can I send my pets ashes?
Of course you can! We know how important pets are and we handle their ashes with the same care and respect given to lost loved ones and family members.
- Can I use ashes from more than one family member?
Of course! You can chose to mix the ashes at home and send them to us in one container. Or if you have chosen a piece that has more than one chamber to hold the ashes we can keep them separate so that you have a section for each set of ashes that you would like to include. The Four leaf clover necklace is a great example of a piece that can accommodate up to 4 sets of ashes. If you would like additional collection pots sent in the kit for this option please just send us a message when you place your order.
- Can you use hair/ fur?
Yes, all of the pieces on the website can be made with hair/ fur instead of, or as well as ashes. It can be quite difficult to see hair sometimes depending on the background that you choose so we advise opting for a plain coloured background if you want the hair to be a prominent feature in the piece. Also dark hair works well against lighter coloured backgrounds and vice versa.
